PVP would like to quote the important information and activities in the packaging industry in the early 2025 as following.
1. Vietnam Packaging Award 2025
"Vietnam Packaging Awards" is organized annually by the Vietnam Packaging Association starting from the first time in 2022. The award praises excellent packaging to contribute to promoting and honoring the role of the packaging industry in the Vietnamese economy and encouraging creative ideas for useful, environmentally friendly packaging.
This year, the Award includes 2 categories:
- Brand awards (for brand manufacturers).
- Young packaging award (exclusively for young people).
The application deadline is March 31, 2025, and the award ceremony will be announced at the Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition - VPPE 2025.
2. Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition - VPPE 2025
Time: from May 7 - 9, 2025
Location: Binh Duong New City Exhibition Center - WTC EXPO BDNC
• Host unit: Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association, Vietnam Packaging Association (VINPAS), Vietnam Advertising Association
• Organizing unit: Dong Nam Advertising and Trade Promotion Joint Stock Company
3. The Trump Era began with an increase in cardboard prices
Carton paper prices in the US are expected to increase 7% in early 2025, reflecting stable demand and inflationary pressures. While supply remains stable, the market is facing instability from the Trump administration's economic and trade policies. The report shows strong growth prospects but caution is needed due to political fluctuations.
4. The Food Packaging Industry is transforming strongly
The Food Packaging industry is transforming dramatically as sustainability becomes a focus, beyond costs and regulations. Digital technology and strict regulations from the EU are key drivers, while consumers continue to drive change with their desire for environmentally friendly packaging. Collaboration and innovation are key to a more sustainable future.
